If you love plants, you’ll adore Kew. If you just sort of like plants but really like gentle walks and nice views, you’ll probably adore it too.

Like many places in and around London, tickets to Hampton Court Palace feel a little overpriced. But Liz and I enjoyed our most recent visit enough that we were still glad to have gone, despite our wallets being a bit lighter than they were at the start of the day.

Box Hill is great for tourists who want to see some English countryside without having to go for a lengthy hike, or for those staying in London for only a few days who want to see some English countryside in the morning and still have time to do something else later in the day.
