ABOUT US
We met in September 2023 and six weeks later took our first trip together to Stavanger, Norway.

We now live together in London with our adopted ex-stray cat, Rocky, and have been to 9 countries together.

Most of the writing on this website is done by Josh. Most of the photographs are taken by Liz. Most of the delays gettig things published are caused by Rocky.
About Josh
A novice traveller before meeting Liz, financial constraints, fear about solo travelling, a pandemic, and on/off struggles with depression and anxiety led to me not going on holiday in my 20s.
Not long after I took my first overseas trip in many years, exploring Japan and South Korea with a friend, I met Liz and started making up for lost time trying to see the rest of the world.

I wanted to write this site to encourage anyone else who experiences anxiety and wants to travel to have the bravery to do it a bit sooner than I did, and to share a little bit of the joy that it's brought me.

A former sport writer, I'm easily distracted by football, baseball, Korean TV, food, cats and, much to Liz's dismay, cool bugs.
About Liz
An experienced traveller with 40 countries under my belt (and counting). Before meeting Josh. I loved to solo travel and the long hours followed by long breaks working as a freelancer in the TV industry meant I was lucky enough to travel all over the world.
I’ve hiked volcanos in central America, swam with turtles in the Philippines, and visited the tombs of ancient kings in Egypt. My dream is to one day take a cruise to Antarctica – one of those really expensive ones that I absolutely can’t justify the cost of unless somebody hands me a million pounds.
I’m a big advocate for the power of travel to help people connect more deeply with themselves and others, and nothing makes me happier than when I’m able to share a great travel recommendation or swap stories with fellow travellers.

About Rocky

Rocky first met Josh and Liz in October 2024, shortly after they moved in together. He wonders what took them so long.

A stray when he met his servants-in-waiting, enquiries revealed that Rocky had spent at least six years living out an adventure-filled bachelor life, with four known offspring to his name, including one now living in the neighbouring flat.

After a year of building up his confidence around people and some time living in a shelter in the garden, Rocky graciously accepted an offer to move in with Josh and Liz.

Rocky has great cheek structure, weighs as much as the average male British fox, and has strong views about our travels, which he expresses in the clearest of terms to his cat sitters. We can but apologise.
